Q. How often should I have my Carpets Professionally cleaned?
Short Answer: Roughly once a year.
Long Answer: DuPont’s warranty for Their SmartStrand Sonora fiber, recommends Professional Hot Water Extraction (Commonly referred to as Steam Cleaning) every 12 - 18 months. The recommendation continues, saying that the cleaning products and equipment should carry the Carpet and Rug Institute Seal of Approval (which ours does). It also goes on to say that high traffic areas should be cleaned as soon as they begin to show soil. So depending on the usage, high traffic areas will typically need cleaning every 6-12 months.
